I love beachcombing. I have a collection of seaweed, mermaids purses and so on, which get washed, dried, pressed ready for use.

I used these found materials to make a wet cyanotype. This was made during a heatwave in August 2026, just before the partial eclipse of the sun. I arranged the materials on paper which had been coated by the photosensitive chemicals, additionally adding diluted vinegar, sea salt, soap bubbles, turmeric and coffee grounds. Then I covered the whole with clingfilm and placed under a glass cover in the sunlight. After about 90 minutes I unpacked everything and washed the paper before drying it flat.
