This was carved from shina plywood and printed by hand on kitakata and Wenzhou paper, using black and burnt umber ink.

The inspiration comes from the Reptiles episode of the BBC Life nature documentary series, which includes footage of komodo dragons hunting a water buffalo.

I tested out and transferred the design using a papercut.
